Bulk Trash Pickup (3rd Week)
Once-a-month collection from the front curb includes large limbs, shrubbery, bagged leaves (in sealed bags with a maximum 50 gallon capacity), furniture, appliances, mattresses and box springs. Items must be on the front curb for collection no later than 7:00 A.M. the Monday of your pick-up week. It is also important to remember that items should not be set out for pick up earlier than 7:00 A.M. on the Thursday preceding your collection week.
Do not put bagged grass clippings, new construction or remodeling materials such as lumber or roofing materials out for brush collection. Call 311 or (214) 670-5111 when calling from outside the city limits to get a free estimate on the Cost Plus service to pick up construction or remodeling materials. Please note that bricks, concrete, rocks, dirt, paint, oil and hazardous containers are not collected in either the Cost Plus or regular brush and bulky trash collection services.
Garbage & Recycling
Garbage and recycling containers may be placed out at the street curb for collection NO EARLIER than 6:00 p.m. on the day prior to the pickup. Since our pickup is Friday, containers may be placed out AFTER 6 p.m. on THURSDAY EVENING. The containers may not be placed in the street, on the sidewalk, or in any manner that will interfere with vehicular or pedestrian traffic. Garbage and recycling containers must be removed to the side yard or the rear of the structure, preferably out of sight, BEFORE 8:00 a.m. on the day AFTER collection day (for us, 8 a.m. Saturday). Violations are punishable by fines between $50 – $2000 for the second conviction in a 24-month period. To keep Hollywood/Santa Monica looking its best, let’s keep trash and recycling containers out of sight!
