803 Cordova is the perfect landscape for April, transitioning from late winter to early spring. The curving front walk, bordered by low-spreading evergreen shrubs and winter-blooming pansies, leads up the waterfall steps from the sidewalk to the russet Tudor plank door under a graceful Tudor arch, flanked by potted seasonal color. Could there be a better seasonal welcome?

To the left of the entrance, an enclosed arched sunroom looks out to a front patio with flanking rockers, shaded by a large Japanese maple bursting forth to welcome spring. A curved bed beckons the eye to a side south-facing patio that basks in the early spring sun and will be shaded by a large deciduous shade tree that will leaf out in summer.

Few Hollywood houses feature a front and side patio, let alone a corner lot so gracefully floating in its landscape. Of particular note: the entrance gable is echoed by a more prominent gable immediately adjacent that delights the eye and highlights the entry area, an unusual double gable arrangement.
