The first call was made to the Dallas Police Department around 9:00 p.m. There were several calls, mostly north of the trail, with most of the calls coming from Coronado Ave and Gaston Ave. Out of the 17 calls for services for a random gunfire call, only two were from HSMNA, and those locations were closer to the trail. The other 15 calls covered an area further north of the trail and park and closer to Gaston. A total of 4 patrol elements responded to the calls. The first patrol element was dispatched at 9:07 p.m. This is a quick dispatch time for a priority three call; most priority two calls are targeted to be dispatched between 6-8 minutes.
Officer Hesse was on patrol for HSMNA and did not find any suspicious vehicles/people in the area. Since central patrol quickly reacted to the call, he remained in our neighborhood and allowed them to check the areas outside of HSMNA.
